Why I cried in my kitchen tonight.

The world as it looked at approximately 7:45 tonight:

The world as it looked at approximately 8:30 tonight:

I cried the entire time I shaved Ben's head. I'm convinced he will never be this blond again, and so I hated to cut it. But Thomas wanted his done, and heaven forbid Thomas do something that Ben doesn't.

Their new hair is cute, but I loved their floppy long hair. Neither one of them has ever had a different haircut. And now they have no hair. But they are happy, so that is all that matters, right?

Right?

(But it still makes me a little teary.)

I know EXACTLY how you feel!

It's hard to let them grow up, and hard to let go of those last reminders of their babyhood, but we can't hold back the hands of time forever.

They look very handsome!

I love summer buzzes. So easy! What a bold leap for them, though. That's a lot of hair to lose:) My boys cried the first time I did it to them.

I think I'm in shock! You probably are, too. But they look so cute! I would cry, too. But I bet when you get used to it, you'll love how easy the new cuts are.
